Harley Davidson FXRG boots are PERFECT for a cold weather rider!
With the cold weather firmly upon us, everyone starts paying much more attention to their choices in riding gear as that ice cold wind can quickly find the weakpoint in your riding apparel. If you are looking for a set of riding boots that will work nicely in the cold weather then you only need to look as far as these Harley Davidson FXRG boots. These Harley FXRG boots feature an oiled leather upper with a breathable Cordura underlay and the styling almost looks more like a tactical style boot than a traditional riding boot, which many prefer. I have owned a pair of these boots for many years and growing up in Maine, you quickly learn how to dress for the cold. I figured it would be appropriate to share my thoughts on these boots considering the time of year and the fact that I just replaced an old worn out pair with a brand new pair.
You will quickly find how comfortable these boots are the very first time you lace them up. They hug my feet nicely and the padding and choice of materials made just feel great. They really start to shine when you get on your motorcycle for the first time with them. They are rock solid in the wind and don't let any hint of wind through to your feet. They aren't so bulky that shifting is a chore and they work nicely on the shifter and brake pedals on my Street Glide.
If you aren't one to have a "special" set of riding boots and you wear the same boots you ride in out around then you can appreciate the breathable Gore-Tek membrane. It will keep your feet perfectly dry in snow, slush or even rain. I have deliberately stood in a mud puddle before and these boots keep my feet perfectly dry. This is a great feature if you live in a snowy, slushy environment as many of us do. You should know that while I grew up in Maine, I live in the deep south today and these boots serve me well in teh hot summer months as well. They breathe nicely and that is key to keeping your feet cool.
I owned my last pair for several years, not even sure how long, but they still looked reasonably good and definitely held up well. The durability is great, they look good to me and they work even better, so if you are looking for a high quality pair of Harley Davidson riding boots, then these may be the perfect choice of boots for you. These boots are not only good for wet or winter weather as I have been using these boots down here in Texas for years and they are the only Harley boots I’ll buy ever again. They are lightweight and extremely comfortable and they are great in wet weather. The only way your feet will get wet with these bad boys is if the water is up over the top of the boot maybe….. and then you have bigger problems. It routinely gets over 100 degrees here in summer, and I wear these almost every day. Actually, I found this review when I was Googling for a replacement set of boots as my old ones are worn out.
