Harley Davidson Jet II - Function over Cool and still a decent looking helmet.

Many Harley riders go through some kind of a metamorphosis when they first purchase a Harley Davidson, especially concerning their accessories.  The need to wear the costume, aka look like a biker, is strong and can often lead a new owner to purchase accessories or gear that they wouldn't normally purchase.  When it comes to helmets this is very true, many start with a cool looking DOT half helmet and then transition to something a little more practical once they get past the need to look cool.  The Harley Davidson Jet helmet is one of those helmets you end up buying when you want something practical, rather than cool.
